Organizations We Support

Langley Memorial Hospital

The Langley Memorial Hospital is part of the Fraser Health system. It is responsible for providing quality health care services across Langley, BC and can provide a wide range of services to individuals in need. The best way to help the Langley Memorial Hospital is by donating directly to the Langley Memorial Hospital Foundation.

Our Involvement:
Since 2012 the Trotman Auto Group has consistently donated to the Langley Memorial Hospital’s Maternity ward. TAG also was instrumental in the purchase of much-needed equipment and technology for the Pediatric wing in the same hospital.

Jackson Elementary School

Unfortunately, many students at Jackson Elementary in Abbotsford are not always able to go to school in the morning on a full belly. When children are hungry, they have a difficult time staying focused on a task, tend to have lower self-esteem, and are more likely to be absent on a school day. In fact, 1/3rd of all food bank users in Canada are children. Ensuring the children in our community are properly fed is one of the best ways we can help improve our community.

Our Involvement:
Employees of TAG join the Jackson Elementary School every Tuesday for their breakfast feeding program. We challenge all local businesses in the area to help, as making sure the children in our community have the greatest shot at success in life is one of the most important things we can do.

Surrey Crime Prevention Society

Informally founded in 1981, The Surrey Crime Prevention Society takes a holistic approach to community safety. Through programs administered by dedicated and trained volunteers, the Surrey Crime Prevention Society works to enhance community safety in the City of Surrey by supporting community safety and public awareness and aligning the goals of community partners. The best way to help the Surrey Crime Prevention Society is to either donate directly by using this link or to volunteer your time. Follow this link to sign up to volunteer.

Our Involvement:
Since 2016, Mainland Ford began to sponsor a volunteer whose tasks may involve Traffic Safety Programs, Community Safety Tours or High School help programs. Committing to support a volunteer covers the equipment and meals costs for a year.

Surrey Food Bank

In 1983, the Surrey Food Bank Society opened their doors for what was supposed to be a temporary amount of time. The economy had tanked, and the Society was deemed to be a solution until things turned around. Over time the Surrey Food Bank grew into a 7,000 sq. ft. warehouse in Whalley with a core staff of 13 and a group of over 100 active volunteers. After 26 years of operation, the Surrey Food Bank realized they are a core fixture of what makes this community better.

Our Involvement:
In October 2016, members of the Mainland Ford family participated in #WeScareHunger in cooperation with Ford WE HQ. These individuals collected over 2,200lbs of food to donate to the Surrey Food Bank with the help of everyone who participated.

Ride 2 Survive

Ride2Survive is a unique non-profit society that operates a one-day cycling event from Kelowna to Delta, BC to raise funds for cancer research. The group is the Canadian Cancer largest independent fundraising event and is 100% volunteer run. This one day, 400 km bicycle ride is so much more than just a bike ride or a cancer fundraiser. It is one of the most amazing rides you’ll ever do, and it is one of the best-supported events you could possibly participate in. This year, over $450,000 was raised and contributed to Cancer Research by 85 riders. Follow this link for more information on how you can get involved.

Our Involvement:
The Trotman Auto Group has been a running sponsor of Ride2Survive for the last two years. Each year we have proudly provided two vehicles for the riders and support team to travel in.

BabyGoRound supplies families with essential baby clothing and equipment for children under the age of 4. BabyGoRound distributes new and gently used items to nearly 1,000 families per year through 38 approved social service agencies in the Lower Mainland. The agencies they work with assess the needs of the families and refer them directly to BabyGoRound. These agencies include YWCA, domestic violence shelters, hospitals, youth and teen pregnancy programs, and more. For more details on how to become involved with BabyGoRound, follow this link.

Our Involvement:
In 2015, the Trotman Auto Group contributed to BabyGoRound by helping to acquire a minivan for the charity. This vehicle allowed them to pick up donations from drop off locations and deliver them back to the facility. The van has also been branded, leading to an increase in awareness of the organization, and has been crucial for increasing the number of donated items.

YANA (You Are Not Alone)

You Are Not Alone (YANA) is a local non-profit society in Comox Valley that provides funding to Comox Valley families who need to leave the community for medical treatment of a child under 19 or a pregnant mother. Founded in 1986, YANA has grown to maintain four fully furnished apartments within walking distance of Children’s Hospital. YANA provides funds for families to help with costs of travel, food, parking, and unexpected expenses, as well as provides St. Joseph’s Hospital with funds for Comox Valley families in need. Hyundai Hockey Helpers

Hyundai Hockey Helpers is a nationwide charity that helps to lower the barrier of entry for at-risk youth to participate in local hockey leagues. Since 2012, the Hyundai Hockey Helpers organization has helped over 8,000 players receive grants to play organized hockey through a partnership with KidSport.
